Speaking a Great Language

The mission of the Kalamazoo Humane Society (Kazoohumane.org) is to foster an environment of respect, responsibility and compassion for all animals through education, pet population control, and leadership.

The Kalamazoo Humane Society provides information, programs, and low-cost services to improve the lives of pets and pet owners in the Kalamazoo region.

The Operation Fix-It program is for pet owners who would like to have their cat or dog spayed/neutered and either choose not to or are unable to have them sterilized at a regular vet’s office.

There are no income requirements and you do not need to be a resident of Kalamazoo County to take advantage of this program.

The Kalamazoo Humane Society emergency pet food bank provides free pet food to citizens who cannot afford to purchase food. KHS gives out up to 60,000 pounds of pet food per year and feeds about 500 pets a day.
